I am my responsibility !

Take responsibility for your own personal and professional growth. You are your responsibility. Responsibility for your growth squarely rests on your shoulders. There are a few things you should do in order to keep yourself updated and well educated even after you have said good bye to your studies.

a. Meet two former co-workers every month: Talk about the industry in general and share your experiences with each other. This will keep all of you updated about what's happening around.

b. Take one major learning experience every quarter: You are sure to get stagnant in a full time job with no new learnings coming your way. World would be growing at a much faster pace than what your current company does. Upgrade your skills outside your regular job. Volunteer for a non profit organization, attend a conference or take a class. This might propose better job opportunities and will surely add confidence to you.

c. Grade yourself a performance check: Be honest with yourself about your strengths and weaknesses. You know very well where you lag, you know your capacity and only you can help yourself to function to the optimum levels of your energy.
